Day 1 Yangon Arrive Yangon in the morning and transfer to the Traders Hotel (or The Strand - suppl.) for 2 nights. In the evening enjoy a walk through Chinatown and Bogyoke Aung San Market or Scott's Market.

Day 2 Yangon Enjoy a full day sightseeing of Yangon . This includes the gilded Sule Pagoda, the National Museum , and the giant reclining Buddha at Kyaukhtatkyi. Visit the serene Kandawgyi Lake and the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda.

Day 3 Bagan Fly to Bagan this morning. Check in at the Thiripyitsaya Hotel, on Ayeyarwady's banks, for one night. In the morning visit the Shwezigon, Htilominlo and Ananda Pagodas. After Lunch visit a lacquer workshop in Myinkaba village, followed by a visit to the Gubyaukgyi Pagoda, famous for its ancient mural paintings.

Day 4 Mandalay This morning fly to Mandalay , the centre of Burmese culture.

Check in at the Sedona Mandalay Hotel for 2 nights. In the afternoon visit the wooden monastery of Golden Palace and the Kuthodaw Pagoda. Visit the revered Mahamuni Pagoda to see the bronze Buddha image covered in thick gold leaves. Later see U Bein's bridge, the largest teak span in the world, more than 2 centuries old.

Day 5 Mandalay In the morning enjoy a boat trip on the Ayeyarwady to Mingun, to see the world's largest intact bronze bell. Visit the unfinished but impressive Mingun Pagoda and the beautiful Hsinbyume Pagoda. In the afternoon visit the former capital of Ava. Visit Nanmyint watchtower, remains of a royal palace, nicknamed the 'Leaning tower of Ava ' and the Bagaya Monastery, famous for its ornate woodcarvings and teak posts.

Continue to Sagaing hills for a scenic sunset.

Day 6 Inle Lake Fly to Heho in the morning. Drive to the Nyaung Shwe to take the boat to the picturesque Inle Lake . Check in at the Inle Princess Resort. Visit the unique leg rowers, the floating markets and the village life around this idyllic lake. Later see the Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda and Nga Pe Pagoda, popularly known as the Jumping Cat Monastery, a wooden monastery built on stilts over the lake.

Day 7 Pindaya Enjoy a scenic drive to Pindaya in the morning to view the Pindaya limestone caves. Stay at the Conqueror Hotel for the night.

Day 8 Yangon The morning is at leisure to explore the town. Fly to Yangon from Heho in the afternoon. Check in at the Traders Hotel for the night.

Day 9 Yangon-London The day is at leisure. In the evening fly to Bangkok to connect with the onward flight.
