CHIANG MAI - CHIANG RAI (5 DAYS/ 4 NIGHTS)

Itinerary

Day 1 Transfer from hotel to airport for flight to Chiang Mai. After arrival in Chiang Mai we will visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of Chiang Mai's most respected temple on the hilltop. Lunch in Town. In the afternoon visit San Kampaeng handicraft area. In the evening we will enjoy the traditional Khantoke dinner. Overnight in Chiang Mai. (L/D)

Day 2 Breakfast and check out from hotel. Visit Chiang Dao Elephant camp to see the elephants at work, go for an elephant ride & bamboo rafting. Lunch at a local restaurant. Further to Thaton. In the afternoon visit hilltribe villages in Thaton. Free evening. Overnight at Thaton. (B/L)

Day 3 Breakfast and check-out from hotel. By long-tailed boat from Pha Tai along the Kok River to Chiang Rai. Transfer directly to Mae Sai and have a walk around. Further to the Golden Triangle. Lunch at the Golden Triangle. Visit the New Opium Museum . Boat tour along the Khong River to see where Thailand , Laos and Burma meet. If possible, visit the small market on the Laotian side. Transfer to Chiang Rai and check-in at Hotel. Free evening. (L)

Day 4 After breakfast. We will go to one of Thailand 's northernmost Thai mountain, Doi Tung, to visit Doi Tung Royal Villa and Mae Fah Luang Botanical Garden. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon visit some Hilltribe villages. Free evening. Overnight in Chiang Rai. (B/L)

Day 5 In the afternoon transfer to Chiang Rai airport for flight back to Bangkok . (B,L)
