Itinerary

Days 1 – 2 ~ Bangkok
Arrive in Bangkok and transfer to your downtown hotel. Get to know your tour leader during evening drinks and a tour briefing. We explore this exciting city, visiting the Grand Palace , an enormous reclining Buddha, and the fascinating National Museum . We take a boat trip on the Chao Phraya River and discover the Thonburi canals. We can enjoy our free time in the evenings by shopping at the famous night markets, savouring delicacies at some of the best restaurants in Asia and experiencing Bangkok 's back-alley 'sois' and incredible nightlife.

Days 3 – 4 ~ River Kwai & Kanchanaburi
Travel to Kanchanaburi where we visit the sobering POW cemeteries, Hellfire Pass Museum and ride on the infamous ‘Death Railway' train. Visit Erawan National Park where you will be able to explore the seven different levels of this waterfall in its exotic jungle setting. Stay in an atmospheric lodge on the banks of the river.

Days 5 – 6 ~ Ayuthaya & Khao Yai National Park
After a short road trip we arrive at Ayuthaya and visit the impressive monuments and great museums of this former prominent capital. Continue on to Khao Yai National Park with its lush forest and varied wildlife. If you are very lucky, you may spot one of the park's wild elephants on an exciting night drive or on a jungle walk.

Day 7 – 9 ~ Chiang Mai & Chiang Dao
Return to Bangkok and fly up to the fascinating Northern city of Chiang Mai. Spend time exploring the city with its wonderful food, ancient temples and atmospheric night market. Head into the countryside and towards Chiang Dao where you can spend time exploring the jungle with its myriad of exotic birds. Overnight in a community run lodge with a reputation for great cuisine!

Days 10 – 14 ~ Phuket & Khao Sok National Park
Fly to Thailand 's beautiful South where you will pass through Phuket, home to some picturesque beaches. Continue onto the breathtakingly beautiful Khao Sok National Park where you will stay in an atmospheric and comfortable tented elephant camp. Explore the jungle on foot, on canoe and on elephant back whilst learning more about the wildlife of the park. End this memorable trip with a farewell dinner in Phuket and a transfer to the airport for your onward travel.
